More than 80 devoted full-time and part-time staff, trustees, and members of our advisory groups contribute their time and talents to fulfilling our mission, making the DC History Center an inspiring place to connect, empower, and inspire. Our people are passionate, dedicated, and always looking toward the future.
The DC History Center’s Community Council comprises leaders from each of DC’s eight wards. It serves as a forum for open dialogue and feedback about how and where the DC History Center can best make a difference in neighborhoods across the city. With input from this important advisory group, we will reimagine how we can benefit the lives of all Washington residents, preserve our stories for future generations, and encourage civic engagement and leadership, especially among our youth.
