ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

Class Action will explore the history of education in DC, starting with the city’s first Black public high school, now known as Dunbar High School, to the height of Chocolate City. Through original objects, interactive displays, first person narratives, maps, and more, Class Action will ask you to consider: who has access to education and how? What is the role of activism in creating change? How can we resist racist systems and structures?
