Building a Bridge to Educators

Are you a local educator who explores DC history with your students? Are you passionate about civic engagement and equitable access to humanities enrichment?

If you answer yes to the above, we’d like to invite you to become a teacher member of the DC History Center! 

Education is at the core of our mission and we are pleased to offer free, year-long memberships to K-12 teachers and librarians in DC, Maryland, and Virginia schools.

Teacher Membership Contributions 

  • Serve as a DC History Center ambassador in your schools and communities
  • Serve as an occasional sounding board for the DC History Center staff

Qualifications

Teacher members must be employed as an educator or librarian in a school located in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. Sign up for membership using your school email address.
