* All positions are restricted to volunteers age 18 and older except for National History Day and the DC History Conference which are open to volunteers 16 and older. Volunteer hours at these programs can be used towards fulfilling school Community Service-Learning Graduation Requirement.

Helping to support DC History Center programs and events, with duties including:
K-12 Education volunteers support field trips in the exhibit & research library.
DC History Conference volunteers support the annual DC History Conference. Volunteer roles can include room monitors, wayfinders, and registration support, among others. Volunteers can sign up for specific roles and timeslots at a volunteer orientation.
Participate as a National History Day judge for the annual, city-wide competition.
Participate as a day-of volunteer for the annual, city-wide competition for National History Day.
