Camilo Montoya is a Nicaraguan writer and multidisciplinary artist based in Washington, DC. His work—spanning spoken word, documentary, and cultural organizing—centers Latinx experiences. He is an active presence in the city’s arts scene, performing weekly with Los Locos and Orquesta Manplesa, while hosting Poema Abierto – DC’s first Spanish-language open mic.
