A black-and-white photograph of a residential neighborhood on a hill, likely taken in the mid-20th century. The street is unpaved or lightly paved and lined with utility poles and overhead power lines. Several vintage cars, including a 1940s-era pickup truck, are parked along the street. Leafless trees indicate it is likely late fall or winter. Houses line both sides of the street, and in the distance, an urban skyline with factory smokestacks and mid-rise buildings is visible.

A diverse group of people walks along a sidewalk in a residential neighborhood on a sunny day. They pass by well-kept houses, including a white house with black shutters and a front porch, and several brick homes on a grassy hill. Some people carry papers or wear shirts with logos, suggesting they may be on a guided tour or community walk. The street is lined with trees providing partial shade.

Three visitors—two women and one man—stand closely together, reading and interacting with an exhibit panel titled "Class Action: Education & Opportunity in the Nation’s Capital" at the DC History Center. The green panel includes text and a diagram encouraging personal reflection on educational experiences in DC. Behind them, vintage school photographs and colorful pennants add historical context to the exhibition space.
