Please welcome our development coordinator, Betsey Wenger! Betsey joined us in early October 2023 and works on membership, office management, and event planning. If you frequent our DC History Center programs, you’ve probably already met Betsey! From running registration to helping with catering at events, Betsey has already made a huge impact in our organization and has a way of making everyone feel welcome.

The development coordinator position is a new role to the DC History Center offering our growing staff greater administrative support and expanding our fundraising capacity. Additionally, the organization views the position as providing an opportunity for the employee in the role to develop diverse skill sets and competencies in areas across the organization to take into future office roles. Betsey’s ongoing responsibilities as development coordinator include: day-to-day administrative support for fundraising (membership, annual giving, donor information management, and special events); office management in support of all staff; and administrative support of the executive director.
