Resources for the Media

Members of the media can find information here about the DC History Center, as well as how to access resources related to DC history.

Please note: While every effort is made to accommodate members of the media, the DC History Center cannot promise same-day (deadline) responses.

  1. Researching DC History
The DC History Center helps members of the media dig deeply into a specific history topic. See more on how to research with the DC History Center by visiting our Research page. We can also help locate a subject expert to interview. Try our University Advisory Group, for instance. For staff interview requests and subject expert suggestions, contact media@dchistory.org.
  2. Requesting Images
Obtain a historic image or map for an illustration. To request historic images from the collections at the DC History Center, contact the Kiplinger Research Library at library@dchistory.org. Learn more on the Reproductions and Permissions page about fees and permissions for using historic images from the DC History Center collections.
