Take a break and play like it’s recess—indoors! From 1–2 pm, Thursday through Sunday, the DC History Center puts out classic games just outside our new exhibit Class Action, which explores the history of education in Washington, DC. Join us for Connect 4, hopscotch, giant Jenga, hula hoops, colorful play parachute, and oversized tic-tac-toe. Whether you’re feeling nostalgic or just need to get the wiggles out, our “recess” games offer a playful way to explore. Free and open to all!

Plan Your Visit
Two adults play a large connect-four game indoors, placing oversized yellow and green rings into a red and blue game board. They face each other and smile, with other people and tables visible in the bright, open room behind them.
