Join the DC History Center for a free screening of A Sacred Piece of Home: Washington, D.C., a four-part documentary series by filmmaker and educator Amita V. Vyas. Amita will be on-site throughout the screening to meet attendees and discuss the film.

Through four half-hour episodes, A Sacred Piece of Home explores the remarkable diversity of Washington’s sacred architecture, highlighting houses of worship that reflect the faiths, traditions, and cultures of immigrant communities from around the world. From grand cathedrals to intimate temples, mosques, and other sacred spaces, the series reveals how these buildings tell stories of migration, identity, and belonging while enriching the cultural landscape of the nation’s capital.

No registration is required. Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during the screening.
