The DC History Center is thrilled to announce the debut of its digital collections platform! Created through ResourceSpace, this platform expands access to our collections and creates more ways to engage with the many histories that contribute to the story of our city. Now, anyone can view our digitized materials online at any time.
The new site will host born-digital materials, public domain photograph collections, digitized audio-visual material, donated scans from community archiving events, and so much more.

Whether you have a specific research interest or just want to browse, we recommend exploring these collections from the comfort of your home, library, or smart phone. The website is in beta, so expect updates and edits and check back often for new additions!
Currently available collections include material collected through the HumanitiesDC grant-funded Claves del Pasado community archiving project, recently digitized oral histories focusing on Black Washington, statehood and Home Rule ephemera, and collections used in our Changemakers K-12 field trip.
