The Capitol Photo Service Collection (SP 114) comprises several thousand oversize photographs of local business, organization, school, political, and other groups in locally significant settings, both indoors and outdoors, from 1957 to 2000.
Selections from this incredible, massive collection will be on periodically on display. The current exhibit is on view through the end of August, in the Kiplinger Research Library. Public hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
Also included in the collection is the original circa-1920s Kodak Cirkut panoramic camera used to take many of these photos (more on this camera to come!), as well as various other items including awards, advertisements, and records relating to the photographs.
