Celebrate Small Business Saturday at the DC History Center!
Join us for a day of creative fun—shop local, make collage holiday cards and paper ornaments, and play classic recess games like giant Jenga and Connect Four! Enjoy a special frame sale and be the first to see our new DC-inspired merchandise in the shop.
Our store will be stocked with lots of new items so this is a great way to start your holiday shopping while supporting a small nonprofit!
The holiday card and paper ornament making activity is open to all ages. Participants will create one-of-a-kind cards and paper ornaments using images from the DC History Center’s collection, along with festive paper, stickers, and other adornments for a fun, hands-on way to make unique, celebratory gifts.
Over the years, following best practices, we’ve deframed many donated items in order to safely rehouse them—and now the frames can be yours! Small ones, large ones, frames-with-glass, frames without: We have lots for you to choose from. Shop for a good cause: All funds raised are restricted for collections care.
