MAAM_logoThe Historical Society of Washington, D.C. is pleased to have been selected to receive a day of donated collections care courtesy of The White Gloves Gang of the Mid Atlantic Association of Museums (MAAM).

MAAM’s annual conference will be held in D.C. October, 22-24, 2014. Members of the White Gloves Gang contribute their considerable expertise and time to a one-day project such as rehousing objects, storage, inventories, textile rolling, boxing, interleaving, labeling, and photography.  The specific projects to be addressed during this day of service will be identified by HSW staff by the end of the month.

HSW is participating in MAAM’s conference in other ways as well, providing a tour of the building and collections for conference attendees as well as coordinating a neighborhood tour.
